Padel arrives in Scunthorpe. Finally, a sport none of us can pronounce confidently

Padel has arrived in Scunthorpe. It's the fastest-growing sport in the country, apparently. It's like tennis and squash had a baby, and the baby went to a nice gym.
Game4Padel has opened three new outdoor courts at App Frod Sports Club on Centenary Way, near the Pods. They're on artificial grass, uncovered, and open 8am to 10pm every day. You book on MATCHi.
Prices are per player, per hour. Weekdays 8am to 5pm: £4 for members, £6 for non-members. Evenings and weekends: £6 members, £8 non-members.
Rackets are free to borrow on site, and balls are provided during the soft launch. So no excuses. App Frod is also offering membership for £15 until 31 March 2027, with use of the showers and bar at Brumby Hall.
The bar. Now we're talking. Uncovered courts in a Scunthorpe winter.
